Where In The World Are We?
One day recently, I asked my 5th graders, "What is the name of the continent that we live on?" I had a student honestly reply, "China". This prompted, #1, a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, and # 2 the quick reply of creating a powerpoint and follow-up activities to reinforce the important Geography skills that seem to get pushed aside these days.
